BLCK BRW is to be a place where Black culture, Black history, and Black excellence meet over a cup of coffee. Coffee’s origin dates back some 10,000 years ago to Ethiopia and eventually it made its way around the globe. Now there probably isn’t a more popular drink in the world. Black culture isn’t much different. The sounds of Africa, the rhythm of Jamaica, the beat of Hip Hop, or the flow of Jazz have all found it’s way into mainstream culture. Doctors from Imhotep to Charles Drew and scientists such as George Washington Carver and Neil deGrasse Tyson have influenced the practice of medicine and the study of science everywhere. Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Usain Bolt, Serena and Venus Williams are known in households worldwide. And who don’t know Oprah?

So we at BLCK BRW want to sip some coffee, and continue to make history.
